Incorrect login information
The most common reason why you cannot log in to MT4/MT5 is that you have entered your login information incorrectly. To log in, you must match your login ID, password, and server name. If your trading account is frozen by XM, you will not be able to login to MT4/MT5. XM accounts are frozen if there is no transaction or deposit/withdrawal for a certain period of time. The trading account is either MT4/MT5. You cannot log in to MT4 with your MT5 account number. You may have selected MT5 by mistake when choosing MT4 or MT5 when opening an XM account.

You can not log in even if you have a Forex trader account other than XM. The smartphone version can be logged in with any FX account, but the PC version is MT4/MT5 dedicated to XM.
Outdated app version
If your MT4/MT5 app version is old, you may not be able to log in. For Android users, please update via the Play Store, and for iPhone users, please update via the App Store.
demo account expired
XM’s demo account will be closed after 90 days without trading. If the demo account is closed, it will be displayed as “line disconnected”, so you will need to apply for a demo account again.
